Family Preservation Supervisor – Family Preservation - TX
Texas Family Initiative, LLC is a private nonprofit organization that provides experience, compassion, quality care, and services for children in foster care and foster/adopt families. We hold Foster Care Recruitment Contracts with the Texas Department of Human Services, Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS). As a partner with DFPS, we recruit and train families to become foster and/adoptive parents.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work or related field; behavioral health licensure from states behavioral health authority; independent clinical licensure preferred. Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards.

Pathway Family Services is an affiliate in Kansas offering additional services to youth and families. Mainstream Nonprofit Solutions is an affiliate supporting the TFI Family of Companies and other Nonprofits. As a Family Preservation Supervisor
- Supervises Family Preservation staff assigned to the region. Provides administrative expertise as required.
- Ensures the accuracy, content, and completeness of child/family case files.
- Participates in the planning, programming, and budgeting of the Family Preservation Program.
- Participates in the development of short, intermediate, and long-range plans and goals for the Family Preservation Program.
- Participates in the development of Family Preservation Policies and Procedures.
- Maintains a close working relationship with public and private agencies involved in providing Family Preservation services/support.
- Assists in organizing regional meetings. Conducts program orientation and on-the-job training of staff assigned to the region.
- Provides information to the responsible agency on all matters related to the child/family.
- Conducts and coordinates assessments.
- Coordinates Family Preservation services and requirements with public and private agencies.
- Conducts case planning conferences at required intervals.
- Coordinates community resources for the benefit of children/families served by the Family Preservation Program.
- Facilitates family preparation for Family Preservation through training, family to family mentoring, family assessment, consultations, home visits, etc.
- Monitors contract compliance and coordinates with the Quality Assurance/Contract Compliance Department on the status of contract requirements.
- Serves as the court liaison for the Family Preservation Program. Meets with court personnel to ensure legal requirements are meet/followed.
- Monitors family preservation referrals and assigns staff to the case in accordance with contract requirements and the Agency’s model.
- When necessary, contracts with mental health therapists to accomplish family assessment, individual, group and family therapy, and other professional services.
- Provides clinical and administrative expertise to staff assigned to the Family Preservation Program.
- Maintains the accuracy and content of case records.
- Compiles monthly statistical data, completes reports and forwards to appropriate agencies.
- Completes documentation and forwards reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.
- Develops and implements procedures and controls to promote accurate and timely information flow.
- Refrains from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position.
- Provides regular supervision and professional development of Agency employees.
- Advocates, promotes, and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions.
- Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities.
