Job description
The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures all building, equipment and the associated systems are operational in accordance with company standards. You will possess a variety of skills encompassing most of the general construction trades and specific experience with small appliances, retail petroleum equipment, car wash equipment, security equipment and point of sale equipment generally used in the convenience store environment.

What will I do as a Facility Maintenance Technician?

  • Respond to prioritized word orders from ServiceNow in accordance with company protocol.
  • The Facilities Technician will continuously evaluate all the self-assigned work orders to determine the most efficient and cost-effective manner to resolve outstanding service requests.
  • All outstanding work orders will be resolved by the Facilities Technician (self-performed) or outsourced to third party contractors or vendors; repairs that are estimated to exceed $300.00 must have prior approval from the Regional Facilities Manager.
  • The Regional Facilities Manager may assign special projects that require occasional work outside the designated region and could include duties which are normally outside the scope of the established list of maintenance responsibilities.
  • Assigned equipment must be clean, organized and well maintained – service vehicles must be stocked with commonly used repair parts.
  • Performs various miscellaneous assigned work-related duties.
  • Assigned rotating on-call responsibility to include after-hours and weekends.

  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance and will possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision while also effectively managing all assigned service requests for multiple locations
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to interact professionally with all Jacksons personnel, contractors/vendors and customers
  • Basic computer skills
  • A Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record required
Physical Requirements:
The candidate while performing the assigned duties of this job will frequently be required to perform the following physical activities:
Stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb/balance and use their hands/fingers to handle or feel objects and controls. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Environmental conditions include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor exposure from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
