U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management services firm, is seeking a Custodial Supervisor in the Northern Virginia Area.
Job Summary: Facility Custodial Attendants are responsible for the general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of the Virginia Rail System buildings and surrounding area under the supervision of the Custodial Supervisor. This position will travel throughout the day performing work at various assigned sites.
REPORTS TO: Custodial Supervisor or Project Manger
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following.
Attend in-service training sessions, meetings, and out of town activities as required
Promote a positive work environment by treating staff and visitors with courtesy and respect
Maintain the restrooms of the rest areas in a clean and sanitary condition, adding supplies as necessary and cleaning each area as needed during shift
Maintain the foyer and reception area in a clean and sanitary state.
Keep the storage area clean, neat, and secure
Report any necessary repairs
Sweep or hose down the parking lot areas, sidewalks, and walkways at least once each shift.
Maintain walkways as required to keep them free of snow and ice
Collect trash for receptacles and take to the garbage bin as necessary.
Clean windows, countertops, and light fixtures
Clean floors, doors, and water fountains daily
Clean door mats daily
Remove all trash, paper, and other debris from grounds and parking lot up to the edge of the paved shoulders
Replace light bulbs when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- 18+ years of age
- Pass VRE Rail Safety Training first day.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with managers and coworkers in English.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
- Possess good oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work multiple shifts and varying hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Ability to work along local roadways, interstates, and or/highways with commuter traffic passing by at varying rates of speed
- Obtain MOT certificate (coursework and certification paid for by USF)
- Successful results of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
- Varying schedule, able to work all hours including nights and weekends as needed
- Valid Drivers License
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary environment is along parking areas, roadways and interstate system outside in varying weather conditions.
