What Your Impact Will Be:
The creation and maintenance of all reservation system needs:
- Drive the reservation and event system setup and testing in the retail reservation system, and fielding inquiries and requests from Retail Service Support, Retail and Marketing. Resolve all issues within 24 hours.
- Act as the liaison between American Girl and system vendors. Work closely to test updates and resolve system issues
- Partner and train stores to ensure users understand how to property use the systems and are setup.
- Partner with the Experience and Systems Coordinator to act as the reservations systems administrator
Support Experience and Restaurant applications and systems:
- Update POS systems acting as a liaison between stores, IT, finance, and manufacturers to troubleshoot system issues, test system and test upgrades.
- Update internal and external websites with hours of operation and all information supporting to experience
- Support ordering of supplies as needed
- Share detailed information on system functionality, issues, and enhancements.
- Define best practices and processes.
Pulling Weekly Reports:
- Assist the Regional Manager of Restaurants and Experiences in the communication of the vision and standards of the restaurant division thru providing timely and accrue KPI data.
- Support the restaurant teams with effective tools and resources to support their financial impact.
- Contribute to bi-weekly Home Team calls
Training and Restaurant Support
- Assist with training of experience applications, systems, service, food standards, financial reporting, and safety and sanitation requirements.
- Facilitate training programs for restaurant management focused on the use of applications and systems.
- Support the training of all restaurant systems as directed, and trouble shoot as necessary.
- Support the regional team in the creation of new experiences and food items as directed
- Provide hands on support in the Café. Assist in preparing entrees and catered lunches as needed. Support a pleasing environment for AG employees in the Café as directed
What We're Looking For:
- Willingness to learn multiple systems including but not limited to Reservation Software, financial reporting tools, POS and inventory management software, purchasing software.
- At least 1-year restaurant and food preparation experience and at least 2 years’ experience in Corporate Dining, Catering, or restaurants systems is preferred. Business Management or Restaurant Management degree preferred, culinary school, or comparable experience.
- Computer skills required for Microsoft office, Excel, POS system, scheduling software, and basic office equipment (copiers/fax).
- This position requires a large amount of data entry and system
- interaction to create and update experiences.
- This position requires agility and flexibility due to the unpredictable nature of the café and restaurants, and the ability to build cross functional relationships and influence others. The ability to drive continuous improvement in the system process is necessary an is ongoing challenge as software and systems are enhanced. Working remotely may be required during different times of the year.
- This position requires a large amount of data entry and system interaction to create and update experiences. Time management and planning is essential to the success as often the position requires working on months in the future.
