Summary

Family Promise of Ontario County (FPOC) is seeking a full-time Executive Director. The mission of FPOC is to help families who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness by providing a spectrum of case management services to achieve housing stability and sustainable independence. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and oversees all financial, fund development, and operations aspects of the organization. The Executive Director serves as the spokesperson for FPOC and is responsible for building strong partnerships with local and government agencies, donors, and diverse communities of faith.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

Community Relations

• Maintain and strengthen positive community relationships and networks
• Increase positive awareness of FPOC and its mission
• Oversee and approve the creation of newsletters and brochures that are accurate and timely
• Ensure FPOC has a web and social media presence
• Represent FPOC as its spokesperson to the community, including the faith based community

Board Relations

• Maintain open communication with the Board of Directors
• Provide monthly reports to the Board in a timely fashion
• Attend and actively participate in Board meetings and committee meetings
• Show leadership, flexibility, accountability and transparency

Team Management

• Recruit, hire, inspire and collaborate with team members
• Ensure the opportunity for all voices and perspectives to be heard and honored
• Ability to embrace, recognize and celebrate a diverse staff and community

Strategic Planning

• Build on the existing strategic plans including short term and long term goals and actions needed to achieve those goals
• Report to and collaborate with the Board of Directors to identify, create and implement FPOC’s plans and objectives

Management and Administration

• Supervise case management team, conduct staff reviews
• Oversee volunteer management
• Oversee creation and implementation of programs to enhance services provided to clients
• Manage emergencies as they arise
• Ensure procedures are documented and followed
• Maintain proper records in an organized and accessible fashion
• Oversee the use and care of all facilities
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with Family Promise National

Fundraising and Finances

• Build and maintain relationships with major donors and prospects
• Cultivate new sources of funding and oversee and support fundraising events
• Oversee and support grant applications
• Ensure that expenses are satisfied, financial objectives are met, and ensure all required filings for the organization are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure the organization functions according to the approved budget

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree or at least five years relevant experience
• Experience in social work, nonprofit management, public administration or related field
• Demonstrated success in fund development and financial management

Salary

The range for this position is between $65,000 to $80,000 based on experience and education. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. The typical work week is 40 hours and the Executive Director must have flexibility to work some nights and weekends.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
