The job of Registered Behavior Technician is done for the purpose/s of facilitating student academic performance. This position serves as a support for the school. The Behavior Tech implements, collects data and monitors the behavior support plans as directed by the BCBA. The Registered Behavior Tech provides support using behavior management techniques and intervention strategies to reduce behaviors that interfere with the learning process. The candidate will assist students with day to day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on students' progress, and communicate with districts in planning, implementing, directing and maintaining behavior programs within the ESD service area; providing technical assistance and program recommendations to program staff, principals, and the Superintendents and/or their designee to ensure compliance to established policies, procedures and/or regulations; and addressing other duties and processes in support of students with behavioral challenges.
This position is 198 days/year, 8 hours/day. Open until filled.
