Job Summary
This Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

This Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Preoperative screen of patients for eligibility for the Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery (ERAS) program - https://www.childrenshospital.org/treatments/eras-cardiac
- Preoperative education of families regarding ERAS program
- Screen for eligibility to participate in ERAS-related research studies
- Maintain ERAS list of patients for database and clinical list
- Update clinical guidelines and help develop clinical pathway aids for optimization of clinical care
- Nursing and APP education for ERAS program components
- Coordination of care with CICU and ACCU APP’s, and Acute pain service APP’s
- Coordinate ERAS QI monthly meeting
- Post-discharge monitoring of patient reported outcomes questionnaires, and coordination of care with cardiologist/Barbara Rhodes
- Track ERAS metrics and develop QI projects
- Renew IRB (Institutional Review Board) protocols
- Monitor dashboard and database metrics
- 30hr – 40hrs; Monday – Friday days (flexible for 8 or 10 hour shifts)
To qualify, you must have:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- A minimum of 3+ years of RN experience (pediatric, cardiac and/or research RN experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills.
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Registered Nurse.
