Friendship Village is seeking a Environmental Services Coordinator (PRN).

Starting Pay: $18.85 - $20.74 / hr, DOE

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:30AM - 4:00PM on call as needed

Summary:

Answer telephone calls in a timely manner, receive and greet residents, visitors and vendors, determine their need and direct them to the proper person, office or unit. Perform duties such as filing, sorting, and organizing ES office paperwork. Assist with and/or complete invoice coding for ES related invoices. Screen requests for appointments and make appointments for the Director and supervisory staff when requested. Keep organized files of correspondence, invoices, work orders, vendor information as well as resident units and equipment information. Create, implement, and execute an automated maintenance system, as well as continually revise as necessary. Follow up with residents to survey the quality of work being performed by the various departments, and provide this information in report form as necessary. Provide superior customer service to residents, vendors, employees and guests. Maintains a pleasant disposition despite stresses of job duties and occasional rude behavior from residents. Coordinate p.m. service with various vendors to assure timely and productive service. Provide and distribute computer generated reports as required internally and outside the department. Keep filing up to date regularly and perform related duties. Must be willing to work extended hours when the demand dictates. Attends all mandatory in-services as directed. Perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities as directed by department head or supervisor, or as is necessary to perform this job. Report all identified problems or service concerns beyond scope of job to Director

Education and/or Experience:

1. High school diploma or G.E.D. is essential. Must be able to work independently. Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented. Must have highly developed language skills.
2. Must be able to operation a personal computer and mouse, including the ability to turn on/off hardware, open/close windows applications, etc. Must have the ability to learn software applications quickly for use in job duties.
3. Must possess computer, word processing and transcription skills along with the ability to use duplicating and fax machines. Familiar with Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook programs.
4. Requires the use of sound judgment with the ability to react in a positive and spontaneous manner; to evaluate and respond appropriately to the needs of residents, staff, visitors and vendors.
5. Must have good manual dexterity for computer input and typing. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
6. Must be able to work well under pressure, relate to a variety of personalities and handle multiple tasks. Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diverse operations. Must be able to function efficiently despite frequent distractions and interruptions.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
1. Demonstrates good body mechanics and proper use of gait belt before ambulation, lifting, or transferring residents. Able to reach above shoulder level, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, balance, push, pull, and lift 50 pounds. Possess the ability to organize, plan, delegate and supervise.
2. Possess excellent time management skills.
3. Available to work some holidays and every other weekend unless otherwise specified by the Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Nursing Supervisors.
