Job description
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Water Quality Section is seeking a Professional Technical Worker to assist with an electronic file project. The primary responsibility of this position is to digitize existing water quality program paper files to be stored in a database. This is full-time, temporary work involving the use of a computer and scanner, and working closely with Water Quality Section staff to complete this work.
- Uses computer resources and tools to associate paper file with a specific property in Lancaster County.
- Performs scanning of documents to create electronic file of paper file’s contents.
- Creates digital record in database software to store the electronic file.
The ideal applicant will be a self-starter, dependable, and detail-oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
Minimum High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred: post-secondary coursework in an accredited university, college, trade, or professional school.
Equivalent work experience may be considered.
To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.
To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and unclassified employees are not eligible for benefits.
