Who we need:
We are looking for an entry level IT helpdesk technical support technician who genuinely likes problem solving, helping people; is passionate about technology, learning new skills, and is able to communicate confidently and effectively over the phone, in person and email.We have a great team to support you and training will also be provided. Asking logical questions to gain an understanding what each issue is, documenting with screen shots and having a clear description of what's wrong is essential.You should also be able to troubleshoot each issue a bit to reproduce the users issue, identify and resolve obvious non-complex problems problems. Attempting to resolve more complex problems and documenting what steps were taken and did not work and knowing when to escalate up to our support team to get help solving it is also vital.You will be responsible for handling technical support related calls from your co-workers and also assisting our clients so you should be: very comfortable with Windows10, be able to install software, install printer drivers etc. have a basic understanding of client server networking concepts such as file shares, IP addresses and be able to assist with everything from fixing paper jams on the office copy machines to maintaining printers and document scanners and be capable or willing to learn how to replace or install component parts such as memory, boards, graphics cards, rollers, toner etc.While a vast majority of the support cases you will be resolving can be addressed remotely (we have all the latest web meeting tools avail) you must have a valid driver’s license, dependable automobile and must be willing to travel to local client sites as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- First responder for resolving tickets via phone, email and ticketing system.
- Utilize ticketing system (its like email) to document, resolve or escalate support cases.
- Collaborate with other staff members when presented with a challenge beyond your expertise.
- Exercise patience, respect and represent us in a consistent, professional manner at all times.
- Protect the security of the client’s and the company’s information & data at all times.
Required Technical Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with technical and non-technical users.
- Provide desktop & end-user support for Hardware, software and peripherals.
- Have some basic PC Build / Repair experience open case add remove components etc.
- Windows OS / Software Installation
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with current Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with basic windows user folder file security file sharing etc.
- Working knowledge of common desktop applications (Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
- Ability to work independently without supervision as well as on a team.
- Ability to read documentation and learn how to use new applications.
- Be a self-starter, eager to learn read and get involved in the troubleshooting process.
- Basic understanding of Windows networking and IP addresses.
Beneficial Skills
- Experience with PC backup and restore files.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019
- Familiarity with remote meeting tools (zoom, facetime etc)
- Familiarity with current ‘smart’ devices such as iphones, ipads, android, tablets, etc.
- Wireless router and access point configuration
Training/Education/Certificates
- High School Diploma
- A CompTIA A+ Certification (preferred not required)

Other Requirements:
- Lifting and/or carrying of 35 lbs. or more.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle (for when you need to go see clients), and automobile insurance is required. (Travel and mileage is reimbursed of course)
