Labor Solutions has gained partnerships with multiple industrial manufacturing companies that need our assistance with their hiring needs for their job opportunities. We are in search of an ENGINEER, AUTOMATION to join their team.

The ENGINEER, AUTOMATION will be a key member of the team. In this vital role you will lead and/or assist with the quotation, integration and improvement of complex automation equipment; establish reliable PLC programs for automation and robotics. Must be mechanically inclined; hands on mechanically is, very important to this role. This role will provide training to others.

Essential Job Duties (Tasks):

  • Assists with manufacturing concepts, design, build (EOAT; de-gator; vision system, etc.) and purchasing of automation equipment.
  • Participates in feasibility and manufacturability meetings.
  • Coordinates and oversees outside automation and equipment vendors.
  • Leads and/or assists with detailed vendor quotes for automation equipment.
  • Manages the installation and run off of automation equipment.
  • Creates and modifies PLC programs for automation and robots.
  • Verifies all electrical systems and controls on equipment are meeting design, efficiency, and safety standards.
  • Creates and/or verifies working instructions or troubleshooting guides as they relate to automation and trains maintenance/automation and production personnel.
  • Ensures automation programs are current and regularly backed up.
  • Troubleshoots production equipment and supports production (hands-on approach).
  • Leads and/or assists with equipment operational improvements (OEE).
  • Uses continues improvement tools (A3; RCA; PPS…) to improve operations and document lessons learned; including support of quality rejections through root cause analysis and solutions to solve potential manufacturing issues.
  • Participates in lean manufacturing such as 5S, Gemba & Safety Walks, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
