Job description

We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join our organization! This individual will be responsible for the overall operation of an early childhood education classroom.
Responsibilities:

• Create a fun and safe learning environment.
• Instruct children in activities designed to promote their physical, intellectual, social-emotional and spiritual development.
• Write daily lesson plans.
• Track each student’s progress.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.
• Mentor assistant teachers.

Qualifications:

• An Early Childhood or Elementary Education Degree, CDA or equivalent training in child development
• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certification in First Aid, Recognizing Signs of Child Abuse and Neglect and Recognizing Signs and Symptoms of Disease & Illness in Children
• 15 clock hours of in-service training is required annually

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification or Equivalent (Preferred)
