Encapsys, LLC (Encapsys) is looking to hire student co-ops for the 2023 calendar year in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a competitively paid co-op position and Co-ops are also offered a special benefits package which includes a bi-weekly housing allowance and participation in the company 401(k) plan. Encapsys co-op opportunities are available from January-August and June-December 2023.

Holding over 75 encapsulation patents, Encapsys is a leader in encapsulation technologies within three primary business segments – fragrance, phase change, and carbonless. Encapsys takes pride in providing co-ops with opportunities to build strong resumes through matching individual interests with available projects. The Encapsys engineering/chemistry co-op students comprise up to 20% of the technical workforce, therefore Encapsys provides projects with a high level of responsibility that have strong impacts on the bottom line. Co-ops will work on both collaborative and independent projects in conjunction with the engineer/scientist project leaders. Each co-op is assigned a mentor to provide guidance through the processes of training, developing, and contributing. Exceptional co-op students have the potential for full time employment with Encapsys upon graduation.

Typical project engineering duties include:
Involvement in the day-to-day operations of a world-class encapsulation plant as a project engineer
Develop engineering design to solve real world problems
Develop project technical requirements, schedules and estimates
Drive reviews with cross functional teams to address concerns of each group in project implementation
Support other engineers in project activities
Producing written summary reports and presentations
Working 40-50 hours per week, occasionally working some late days or weekends as project work requires

Education, experience, and qualifications:
Educational background includes individuals earning their B.S. or M.S. with at least a 3.00 GPA in the following program:
Chemical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering

Other supporting competencies include:
Self-motivated and driven for project completion
Work independently
Apply engineering and scientific principles to resolve problems and make improvements
Capable of operating in a flexible and dynamic manufacturing environment
Interact effectively with customers, management and production personnel
Work safely around manufacturing equipment
