Job posting Part-Time Employment Coach. In partnership with The Fletcher Group we are able to offer a temporary position that may lead to a full-time permanent position upon suc- cessful documented outcomes.
Job Description: The Employment Coach will work with individuals living in the recovery house to assist them in removing barriers to employment, identifying potential employment opportunities, applying for, and gaining employment.
Employment Coach will work with local businesses to develop referral process from RH to employer. With Fletcher Group, Inc (FGI), he/she will determine training needs of partnering business(es).
This position will administer assessments to help participants in determining their career goals and developing plans for meeting the goal. This person will utilize local employment and support resources as well as the resources of the FGI.
This position will conduct a baseline survey and will follow-up and track the participants at intervals of 1, 3 and 6 months, using questionnaires developed by the FGI.
These activities are provided to support adults to live their own lives and to direct their own recovery and wellness process.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated understanding of the recovery processes and how to use recovery support services to assist clients served
Knowledge of local supportive and employment resources desired.
Peer Support/Recovery Coach training preferred
Lived experience preferred
Work Schedule:
Twenty (20) hours per week is required for the position.
Work schedule will be negotiated between the Employment Coach (EC) and Executive Direc- tor

Essential Job Function/Duties and Responsibilities:
EC will demonstrate competency in personal recovery and model the values of pro social behavior and the recovery process.
EC will provide employment support services to RH residents. Tasks will include:
Assisting resident to overcome employment barriers such as identification, birth certificate, driver’s license, transportation
Basic employability skills
Referrals to community services to assist with the reduction of barriers to employ- ment
EC will connect residents to employers, provide ongoing support once client is employed, provide regular communication with the employer or supported employment services with permission from resident.
EC will act in a connector role between resident, community organizations and services, and employment services.
Along with FGI, the EC will work with employers to develop placement opportunities for
RH residents, will help educate local employers on the benefits of being a Fair Chance employer and will help identify training needs for residents to become competitive with local employer(s).
EC will demonstrate appropriate etiquette with phone referrals and calls with community partners. EC will be able to document calls appropriately and refer to services accord- ingly. EC will assist consumer in navigating ongoing care options and self-referrals.
EC will provide accurate and adequate documentation in a timely manner consistent with state and agency regulation. Documentation of referrals completed will also be re- tained and logged.
RC will administer career assessments and help clients to develop career pathway/plan.
RC will administer surveys at baseline, 1 month, 3 months and 6 months. Data collected will be recorded on spreadsheet and shared during monthly meetings.
Assist clients in developing skills to manage stigma through self-advocacy methods.
Teach and role model the value of every individual's recovery experience.
Model effective coping techniques and self-help strategies.
Participate in skill enhancement activities, both as a participant and provider.
Prepare and maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided.
