A currently competent Evaluator, who provides professional direction and review of clinical services and staff's clinical activities to assure that efficiency and effectiveness measures are established and met. Additionally performs essential duties and functions of the Performance Improvement department.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a bachelor's degree preferably in a human services area. Documented experience in data entry and analysis and extensive knowledge in Excel and Harvard Graphics can be substituted for the degree requirement. Experience in statistics and quantitative analysis in the behavioral health field. Must have experience with computer application. Experience with CARF requirements preferred.

  • Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in current best practices of behavioral health treatment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities are required as well as highly developed computer skills with office automation products such as spreadsheets, word processors and presentation software.
  • Must have knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to complex projects from the preplanning phase through completion and final delivery of the project.
  • Ability to work with complex, detailed, confidential and sensitive information and the ability to complete complex evaluation projects to assess the performance and the management of programs.
  • Knowledge of evaluation concepts, methods, and standards to include auditing, and project or program management necessary to conduct very broad evaluative assignments requiring an integrated analysis of a number of different operational programs, functions.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and briefings, skillfully and logically adapt collected information and data gathered into clear, concise format to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical consultation and technical assistance to the administration, departments/units, and other healthcare professionals regarding the evaluation of client and facility data to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of ongoing operations;
  • Provides clinical consultation and technical assistance related to compliance reviews, reports, and activities;
  • Coordinates annually, or as assigned, with administration and programs to evaluate the appropriateness, adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of program structure, processes, and outcomes;
  • Ensures proper, accurate, complete, and timely data collection to meet the objectives as outlined in contracts and performance measures;
  • Compiles, evaluates, and analyzes monthly performance and compliance data and prepares reports for executive management and the Board of Directors
  • Maintains, complies, and analyzes compliance reports for internal committees as assigned
  • Participates in the internal and external auditing of the agency as needed.
  • Generates data management reports, makes relevant recommendations, and follows-up on resolution of problems/issues.
  • Conducts data management with data received from projects.
  • Utilizes measures and tools to enable evaluation, data collection, and reporting procedures, collating data into concise and manageable reports, charts, graphs, etc. useful for internal management decision making and external reporting to the granting agency.
  • Analyzes problems and difficulties encountered in evaluating program compliance;
  • Maintains required agency plans and works closely with the Performance Improvement Specialist to ensure they are updated annually
  • Provides consultation, support, and coordination related to the CARF Accreditation process and as assigned between surveys
  • Participate and sometimes leads in specialized projects, investigations, and prepares reports.
