Open Position: (2) Open Positions Elma Middle School Volleyball Assistant Coach

Salary Stipend Range:

• $2,190.24 - $2,408.64

Benefits Include:

• I-1433 Sick Leave, employee will accrue at least one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every forty (40) hours worked

Job Requirements (but not limited to)

• Attend all practices, games/matches, competitions, and/or tournaments
• Be available for every practice form 3 PM
• Communicate with the Head Coach and Athletic Director about equipment needs for the program
• Responsible for assisting with the equipment and uniform inventory

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• Must be at least 19 years old or older
• Must have a WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance check (fee paid by employee)
• Successful completion of the WIAA coaching requirements and training clinics
• A First Aid/CPR Certification
• Positive and flexible attitude with students, staff, parents/guardians, and team members
• Strong supervision, clear communication, and organizational skills
• Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the sport sill, strategy and rules
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
• The safety and health of students and others is an essential function of this position

Example of Duties:

• Provide direct leadership and organization for all levels of the assigned sport/activity
• Provide direct ongoing supervision of all athletes, manage before/during/after all practices/conditioning sessions games/travel and other school-sanctioned events
• Develop appropriate objectives of the assigned sport/activity
• Maintain knowledge of league and district rules and regulations related directly to the assigned sport/activity, student participation and parent/community involvement
• Continually teach and emphasize safety procedures and precautions to all athletes
• Report all injuries to the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and complete appropriate report(s)
• Immediately reports all violations or suspected violations of established rules and regulations to the Head Coach, and Athletic Director
• Organizes and conducts, in coordination with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, and parent meetings prior to the season and provides ongoing parent communication throughout the season
• Provide guidance, leadership, and the fundamental skills necessary to execute the program in a successful manner
• Assume the leadership tole in relation to team organization, style of play, practices schedules, equipment and assigned responsibilities
• Assume responsibility clearing all athletes who are returning to play after an injury through the Athletic Director
• Monitors student compliance with all provisions of the ESD Athletic Code, and comply with WIAA Rules and Regulations
• Organizes award and recognition for athletes/participants
