About the College

Talladega College, Alabama's first private historically black liberal arts college, has been known

The campus is on a plateau about 700 feet above sea level in the heart of a fertile valley in the

entertainment outlets as well as shopping, restaurants, and theaters. The college is just 25 miles
south of the city of Anniston, Alabama, 50 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama, 85 miles north

Job Summary

The Electronic Resources Librarian is responsible for the online services offered by the Library. The Librarian will oversee the website and databases.

Job Duties

The Electronic Resources Librarian will have the following duties: managing library electronic services; including databases and website, providing reference assistance to in person and remote users, resolving database access issues, working work faculty and staff to acquire new databases, teaching library instruction classes, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The Electronic Resources Librarian position requires the following qualifications: a Masters of Library Science or a Masters of Library and Information Science from an accredited ALA institution; 2+ years of database management; knowledge of electronic resources content models, emerging formats, acquisitions methods, and licensing; direct experience with website management.
