Overview:
eVigilant is seeking an Electronic Security Technician (Level III) to oversee all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Travel: May travel up to 75-80% to local work sites. Schedule is subject to change based on customer and business need.

eVigilant is seeking an Electronic Security Technician (Level III) to oversee all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule.
Responsibilities:
Electronic Security Technician (Level III) has the ability to work independently to oversee small, medium and large projects with little or no supervision. This team member should have working knowledge of most security based systems and installation of those systems with the exception of integrated programming.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Responsibilities:
Person should be able to work independently or in a team environment to successfully complete small, medium and large security installations.
Develop a plan for sequence of work. Work with and instruct lower level techs and helpers. Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents.
Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
Control field costs for the company and subcontract work.
Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost efficient manner.
Schedule and monitor field productivity.
Have good working knowledge of equipment.
Assist in resolution of scope conflicts.
Participate in the project management functions.
Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner.
Perform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls and installations including: but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, system programming, installation coordination, system and network design, commissioning and closeout assistance.
Strong written skills needed, detailed completed service tickets and surveys.
Operates on the job with the highest of ethics.
Adheres to all safety standards and requirements.
Completes or assists in typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required. Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to the customer.
Selects or assists in the selection of material and equipment to be procured for the projects assigned.
Completes the loading, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate as-built and commissioning documentation.
Effectively communicates the status of projects to management as required.
Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants and subcontractors. Attend job progress meetings as required.
Adheres to safety standards, local and national security and fire codes, with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Demonstrated experience in the Electronic Security (ESS) or access control industry;
Five (5) or more years preferred.
Able to act independently and to coordinate the work of others on a job site.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
Able to explain technical information to non-technical people.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Security clearance, as required. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
