Compensation: $36-$40/hr. (depending on experience)

Current Shift Opening: Shift 1 (7:00am - 3:00pm Monday-Friday)

Essential Job Duties:


  • Promotes worker safety by:
    • Constantly accessing job requirements and addresses possible job hazards by either eliminating the hazard or through implementing a requirement for PPE.
    • Audits employee behaviors to ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines.
    • Lead daily and weekly shift safety meetings, drive floor level safety compliance and implement safety initiatives.
    • Participates actively on the plant-wide safety teams.

Actively assesses activities on a constant basis to ensure no unsafe actions or results will occur.

  • Stressing safe working practices as a condition of employment to associates.
  • Assisting in audits of employee behaviors to ensure compliance with safety rules and guidelines, as well as housekeeping audits and surveys.
  • Participating actively on the plant-wide safety team.
  • Ensuring the housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work area is maintained or improved to the highest level possible.
  • Maintain day-to-day communications with Maintenance Manager concerning daily operations.
  • Develop, review, update and implement Electrical Control procedures.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic systems of the production equipment and physical plant Inspections and calibrations of various equipment such as pressure transducers, electrical & pneumatic controllers, level indicators/controllers, pressure & temperature transmitters, footage counters and limit switches.
  • Must work from schematics, manuals, drawings, sketches, written and verbal instructions .
  • Controls integration.
  • Strong electrical knowledge of electrical systems, circuit breakers and low voltage power distribution systems, AC/DC motors, AC/DC motor control devices, instrumentation, PLC's and AC/DC drive systems, temperature control and computer skills (Servos and Robotics a Plus).
  • Possess working knowledge of electrical/mechanical drawings, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to understand and navigate electrical schematics from worldwide OEM's, and the ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawing is highly desired.
  • Basic Mechanical expertise, advanced skills are desired.
  • Must have tools to perform all duties.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot PLC's and AC/DC drives
  • Actively participates in the continuous improvement process (CIP) by:
    • Identifying and addressing any opportunities to reduce cost, improve product/process and/or improve overall operations
    • Participating in CIP teams to eliminate problems, streamline operations or other areas as defined by management
    • Participating in CIP training and exercises designed to expand the potential for continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications, Equipment and/or Experience:

  • Qualified Plant Lead Electrician Candidates will have 4+ years experience in an industrial plant. Have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in the related field, and/or certificate of degree in electrical engineering or electronics or 7+ years work experience in industrial manufacturing industry. Competent in electronic and computer repair procedure. Fluent in electronic and computer theory and terminology. Familiar with hand tools and equipment for welding, braising and cutting. Strong mechanical aptitude, project management ability and knowledge in the installation, setup and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Demonstrated team facilitation skills and success in implementing process improvements in conjunction with employee work
  • Demonstrated success in the implementation of Statistical Process Control techniques within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be computer literate and demonstrate capability in working with Excel spread sheets, maintenance production systems and project planning software.
  • Ability to operate and communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and in groups, under normal and stressful conditions.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, select, train and instruct personnel. Good interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate strong decision-making skills, sound judgment and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
