It sells its industry leading brands such as Amerimax and Berger through long-standing relationships with the nation’s largest Retail Home Centers and Building Products Distributors such as Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, ABC Supply and Beacon Building Products. The Company’s high growth Outdoor Living business manufactures beautiful outdoor shade structures and exterior cladding systems targeting the high-end residential and architectural segments through brands such as Equinox, Alumawood, and Knotwood. The Company is also a leading supplier of fabricated panels to the Recreational Vehicle industry which is benefitting from strong outdoor recreation and living trends.

Locally in the Philadelphia metro area, we run two plants known as Berger Brothers. And at the plant in Ivy Land, we have an immediate opening for a Plant Electrician. Street address is actually Ivy Land (GPS uses Warminster).

###This is a union based position, and its anticipated there may be overtime. Medical Benefit premiums are paid by the company after 90 days

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Wire circuits as directed.
• Receive direction from supervisor and job instructions from Electrician A and Electrician B on fairly complicated and high voltage work.
• Work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, floor layout and work orders.
• Troubleshooting and Repairing: (Using sophisticated electrical measuring and testing instruments)
• Sensors and Control Circuits
• Electrical motors and drives
• Power Transmission Systems
• Packing Systems
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
• Install and maintain or repair complex automatic electrical and electronic controls.
• Establish and install equipment for secondary distribution centers
• Tear down complex units, determine extent of difficulty, repair or replace defective components and wiring.
• Repair and replace defective armatures and field coils.
• Respond to emergency power failures and diagnose difficulties.
• Prepare wiring diagrams as required.
• Provide training to lower classification of Electricians as needed.
• Fabrication:
• Guarding and related safety devices
• Control panel mounting and installation
• Detect faulty equipment and report to necessary supervisor.
• Safety
• Must follow all safety policies
• Performing safety inspections on electrical components and electrical systems.

QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully.

Education:

High School Diploma/ GED

Prefer Journeyman or Electrical Certification

Experience:

5 years in an industrial environment.

Ability to use measuring equipment

Working with and be able to interpret drawings and specifications.

Skills:

• Use advances shop mathematics.
• Work from complex drawings, specifications, sketches.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of electricity, code requirements for wiring and installation.
• Use all types of precision measuring equipment.
• Must have a strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Solid computer skills (e-mail, excel, oracle)
• Detail- Oriented- must be able to make decisions, plan, preform and detect faulty equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.04 per hour
