With a next step in our growth, our team is ready to welcome an experienced and driven electrician to help continue the growth and execution of our projects. GRNE Solar has a GREAT team and offers a diverse working environment to keep things new and interesting. We work hard and have fun doing it. Ideally you are a licensed/qualified Electrician located closely to our Hills, IA office.

The position will be largely residential and small commercial electrical work.

We’re hoping that you have familiarity in the solar industry and a willingness to learn more.

**Due to the requirements of the position, applicants must have an active Master Electrician License for the state of Iowa**

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing all electrical components of solar energy systems, including DC wiring, AC wiring, equipment and conduit mounting, system and service grounding, battery backup and related equipment, electric vehicle chargers, main service panels, sub panels, etc.
• Lead our teams with the electrical work needed to complete our daily installations
• Communicate directly with project managers about installation status
• Maintain company provided vehicle with appropriate electrical equipment supply, communicate needs to project managers or inventory specialists

What We’re Looking For

• Active electrical license or experience as an apprentice
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of electrical work
• Solar experience preferred, but not required
• Strong understanding of residential and commercial electrical codes and restrictions; Solar regulations preferred but not required
• Ability to meet hard and fast deadlines
• Ability to work in confined spaces & adverse conditions
• Sense of urgency while managing multiple projects
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills

• Flexibility with traveling to and from job sites

Experience:

• 3-5 years of electrical experience
• 1-3 years construction experience

Pay: $70,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
