The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Assembly Specialist to join our team. The Electrical Assembly Specialist is responsible for the assembly and testing of electrical assemblies for gas turbine engines.

Additionally, the Electrical Assembly Specialist will:

• Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
• Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
• Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operations
• Solder wires and other electronic components
• Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, arbor pressing
• Assemble bearings, pistons, O-rings, seals, springs etc. into machined housings
• Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in electrical soldering and wire crimping (preferred)
• Ability to read and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructions
• Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills
• Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).

• Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Salary Range: $39,000 - $55,000
