K-12 Education Manager
SUMMARY: The K-12 Education Manager is responsible for assisting with providing the overall leadership and management of the education strategies of any DHA programs focusing on kindergarten through the 12th grade and leading the implementation of the projects’ educational activities and ensuring project deliverables are met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s education in education or in social science, education, family studies, social work, human development, public health administration, maternal and child health, or related field is preferred.
- Five years of related experience, two years of mentoring, coaching, and training staff and three years of community-based experience working with families and community organizations are required.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite along with strong communication skills are required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitor overall quality of program by guiding the curriculum, program planning, development, and training.
- Make short-term and long-term recommendations of research-based best practices and outline plans to steer forward progression in School Readiness and organizational goals.
- Propose strategies to enhance instructional practices and implement peer mentoring and practice-based coaching.
- Engage training and continuing education to promote positive advancement of the programs.
- Serve as a liaison between directors, site staff, and education team.
- Provide training and technical assistance and build capacity by working directly with staff, parents, and community.
- Assist in overseeing the tracking of screenings and assessments, data collections, reviewing and adjusting efforts as needed.
- Provide ongoing training in policies, procedures, and program requirements, as well as communication and problem-solving, to staff, ensuring compliance with regulations
- Plan and provide opportunities for capacity building to project team in consultation with other management to ensure coordinated technical and personal development.
- The Manager will coordinate multiple stakeholders and programs to ensure that the strategies conform to the program requirements and other regulations.
