We are currently seeking an Ecotoxicologist for a position in our Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice located in our Bellevue, WA office. In this role you will work as part of a team to provide technical support on existing projects and business development efforts in the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice. Areas of focus may involve environmental assessments, data analysis, ecotoxicological studies, risk assessment, or resource damage assessment.
You will be responsible for:
- Document review, critical analysis of literature and reports, data management, statistical data analysis, and written communications preparation
- Synthesizing technical information and applying creative and critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations
- Developing and maintaining professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications, and participating in technical conferences and activities of professional societies
- Working collaboratively on projects with other members of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as appropriate
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Ecotoxicology, Freshwater Ecology, Wildlife Ecology, Applied Ecology, Marine Sciences, or related field
- Strong technical background in biology, ecology, and toxicology
- Experience with data analysis and statistics, and graphical presentation of data
- Experience with data management and analysis using Excel, Access, and a programming language (e.g., R or Python)
- Experience managing tasks of moderate scope and complexity
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate within multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications
- Strong commitment to personal development
- Experience in conducting fieldwork, such as the collection of soils, sediments, surface water, and biota for laboratory analyses is not required but would be a plus

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Scientist and Senior Scientist level total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
