Full-time position working on a School year calendar!

PURPOSE: Assist the classroom teacher as needed to enhance the early intervention-learning environment as well as assure the safety and well-being of the children.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assist the teacher in the daily classroom activities such as artwork, music, free play, story time, snack time, and any other duties as directed.
• Supervise and assist the early intervention students to assure their safety and comfort in outside play, bathroom needs, assistance on and off the bus, waiting periods before and after school, and any other duties as directed.
• Assist in department operational activities such as early intervention materials preparation, correspondence to parents, answering phones, and other duties as directed.
• Assist in the routine cleaning of the classroom, gross motor room, and toys.
• Perform any other duties as directed by Early Intervention Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience working with children in a daycare/preschool setting
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided)
• Eligible for appropriate certifications

SKILLS:

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to function as a team player
• Strong time management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Frequently requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, and reaching, often for extended periods of time
