We have a full time open position in our Early Childhood Education working 184 based on a fiscal year school calendar schedule.
Our classrooms are developmentally appropriate learning environments that align with Education of Young Children standards and the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations.
We provide 15 hours of professional development activities related to early education and care every year (4 of these hours must address diverse learners).
Requirements:
•Current Massachusetts Licensure in Early Education and Care
•Minimum of two years of working in Early Education and Care experience preferred.
•Ability to interact with all populations of students, parents, teachers and the community at large
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
To assist the Director and Lead Teacher of the Early Learning Center, managing an assigned number of children in the program.
To assist Lead Teacher with development and implementation of age appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of each child’s development in the Early Learning Center. and with on-going developmental evaluations and assessments of children as required by Massachusetts Early Education and Care regulations, and assist with preparation of developmental progress reports.
To maintain on-going, open communications with parents/caregivers. and participate as required to properly implement QRIS and demonstrate progress in moving toward next level.
You will serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitude, appropriate attire and grooming, and an effective work ethic, participate in staff meetings and professional development activities and to be responsible for attending other meetings which might be called after school hours by the Principal/Director and/or the Executive Director.
To assist in establishing and maintaining an active and vigorous program advisory committee composed of local industry, business, community, parent, student and member school representatives.
To maintain and update as needed an inventory of related program tools, equipment, supplies and materials, order classroom and shop supplies for educational purposes by following policies and procedures.
To consistently build favorable relationships through positive interactions with students, peers, and administration and contribute to a healthy, accepting, and kind culture free from negativity and judgement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.04 per hour
