Kids At Play Child Care Center is now hiring seasonal (summer) and permanent, part-time, and full-time Lead and Assistant Early Childhood Teachers. Applicants will also have the opportunity to have the training to become Lead/Assistant certified.

They ensure that our children are enriched with the knowledge to succeed by providing a wide range of stimulating experiences to meet their individual intellectual and emotional needs. They facilitate children’s play activities by enforcing safety rules, participating in children’s play, and encouraging the development of positive social relationships.

Our top-notch teachers facilitate the development of children's self-help skills in eating, dressing, toileting, and other routines to foster appropriate habits. They plan weekly lesson plans to enrich the classroom environment and children. Teachers work together to prepare and clean up the classrooms. They serve as a positive role model to the children.

Lead Teachers with early childhood education, lesson plan experience, and experience helping children learn and grow are highly encouraged to apply.

Applicants without training are also encouraged to apply and will be provided training.

College students are also encouraged to apply. We are open to working with any class schedule you may have.

Applicants must be flexible and able to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 5:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Applicants must have a reliable form of transportation year-round. Applicants must also have patience, good communication skills, and an understanding of children with multiple abilities. Applicants must pass the state-required background check.

The care of the children will be the number one responsibility. The teachers will occasionally help with preparing snacks, assisting in team cleaning of the center, and various jobs within the classroom. You must also be a team player and work with parents and families. The position includes lifting children, bending, stretching, and light housekeeping duties. Pay will be based on education and experience.

Kids At Play Child Care Center has been open for over 20 years and is located on the south side of La Crosse by Goose Island Campground

Pay: $13.50-$15 per hour based on experience and education.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $13.50 - $15.00/hour.
