Early Childhood Mental Health Counselor and Therapist - Summary
NorthKey Community Care is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Mental Health Counselor and Therapist to provide quality and flexible therapeutic behavioral health services to children and families with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and other mental illness. This job is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.

Early Childhood Mental Health Counselor and Therapist - Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in a clinical field of study related to behavioral health from an accredited school.
- Appropriate Kentucky license, independently licensed preferred.
- Must have or be eligible for one of the following Kentucky licenses: LCSW, CSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, MFT, LPAT, LPATA, LCADC, LCADCA, PhD, or PsyD.
- Relevant experience, knowledge, training, and expertise to meet the needs of child clients.
- May 2022 and December 2022 graduates encouraged to apply.
Early Childhood Mental Health Counselor and Therapist - Responsibilities
- Provide quality, competent, and effective behavioral health services to children and their families in a professional manner.
- Assess clients and provide individual and family therapy, counseling, intervention, and/or education to clients and their families.
- Provide evidence-based, clinically appropriate behavioral health treatment based on mental health assessment and individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in staffing meetings and consultation with other clinicians to assess therapeutic needs of clients and encourage appropriate referrals to internal and external community services.
- Maintain communication and positive multi-disciplinary working relationships with clinicians and other related professionals in the community. This will include making appropriate referrals, sharing clinical information within HIPAA guidelines, and providing clinically appropriate interventions and collaborations.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within an electronic health record, prepare and complete progress notes, assessments, reports, schedules, and other documentation as required of the position.
- Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improve professional competency and clinical intervention skills, specifically as it relates to veterans of the United States military.
- Maintain flexible hours to meet agency and client needs.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
