- This position serves as a Specialist for ADE’s Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools (EANS) program and equitable services requirements under Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The position is required to support ADE’s administration and implementation of the Emergency Assistance for Non-Public Schools (EANS) program and provide technical assistance and monitoring of ESEA equitable services requirements.
- In-state and out-of-state travel is required for this position.
- Review all EANS participating private school requests for reimbursement and services to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance; to ensure that all requests are necessary, reasonable, allowable, and allocable in accordance with all EANS requirements;
- Coordinate with the Procurement Office regarding requests for services;
- Facilitate the establishment and management of ADE contracts and agreements to provide EANS services on behalf of participating private schools;
- Review all submitted invoices for EANS services to ensure compliance with their agreements to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance;
- Monitor and provide technical assistance to private schools and LEAs to ensure that private school children, teachers, and other educational personnel receive services equitable to those in public schools;
- Support stakeholder inquiries ensuring the provision of effective and positive customer service and support with external and internal constituents;
- Participate in agency and external working groups, task forces, and committees;
- Support the collection and review of EANS program data from participating private schools to ensure reporting requirements and deadlines are met
- Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Arizona Revised Statutes, and State Board of Education rules governing public education
- State and federal budgeting and compliance procedures
- The Uniform System of Financial Records (USFR), Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR), and OMB Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG)
- Experience in managing and/or compliance monitoring ESEA equitable services for private schools
- Methods of professional learning for strengthening fiscal accountability practices, allocations and compliance
- Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, a related field, or must possess equivalent experience to substitute for the degree.

- Position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.).
