Responsibilities:

• Install drywall panels and ceilings in residential buildings, ensuring accurate measurements and precise cuts.
• Prepare surfaces for drywall installation by removing old materials, applying insulation, and repairing any damages.
• Secure drywall panels to the studs using appropriate tools and techniques, such as screws, nails, and adhesive.
• Tape and sand drywall seams to create a smooth and seamless finish, using sandpaper or other appropriate tools.
• Apply texture to walls and ceilings as required by the design or client's preference.
• Surface preparation, which includes cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure that the paint adheres properly.
• Ability to apply paint to surfaces using a variety of techniques, including brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Responsible for mixing and matching paint to achieve the desired color and finish.
• Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment to ensure personal safety and prevent accidents in the workplace. Ensure that they and others are not exposed to hazardous materials or dangerous conditions.
• Responsible for cleaning up after completing a job, including disposing of used materials and leaving the work area clean and tidy.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a drywaller in residential construction.
• Knowledge of various types of drywall materials and their applications.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders.
• Knowledge of painting tools and materials: should have a good understanding of the tools and materials used in the painting trade, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, paint types, and surface preparation methods.
• Attention to detail: should have a keen eye for detail and be able to work meticulously to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.

Hours and Salary:

• Hours: 25 - 40 hrs per week - 1099 Independent Contractor
• Salary: $35/ Hour, Depending on experience
