Oriana House provides quality, professional, compassionate behavioral health and community corrections services to clients while contributing to safer communities. We are looking for a qualified individual to coordinate drug testing services at our in-house lab.

Salary may be negotiable based on skills and experience.

Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to:

· Effectively orients and trains supervised employees in job duties.

· Conducts effective and timely performance evaluations and processes paperwork appropriately for supervised employees.

· Effectively addresses disciplinary issues with supervised employees; accurately and thoroughly documents and processes disciplinary actions in a timely manner and in accordance with policies and procedures.

· Ensures supervised employees meet minimum training requirements and monitors training attendance.

· Processes payroll and handles time card issues for supervised employees.

· Participates in the development of Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) procedures for urine collection, testing, chain of custody, and result reporting in accordance with requirements set by applicable regulatory agencies. Effectively monitors implementation of same.

· Maintains, reviews, and updates urine drug screen policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and CLIA certification standards.

· Ensures chain of custody guidelines are followed at all times.

· Maintains quality control and maintenance of drug testing instruments and alco-sensor equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.

· Performs proficiency testing in accordance with CLIA.

· Keeps laboratory productive by monitoring the workload in each functional area.

· Effectively develops, coordinates, and monitors urine drug screen testing for the Agency.

· Accurately and safely performs testing procedures on urine specimens in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.

· Effectively works with outside technical director on all aspects of laboratory testing.

· Coordinates drug testing results with the Medical Review Officer. Ensures proper notification and candidate notification.

· Accurately reports urine testing results to programs in a timely manner.

· Coordinates use of off-site testing laboratories.

· Assists in training employees in urine collection and alco-sensor testing policies and procedures.

· Accurately answers employee questions including, but not limited to: chain of custody, test results, drug effects/longevity in system, etc.

· Accurately compiles and analyzes test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and diagnoses malfunctions.

· Effectively markets laboratory services to outside customers. Works with Public Relations Department as necessary if marketing materials are needed.

· Coordinates testing for outside contracts and prepares an accurate billing report.

· Recommends measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment.

· Accurately and safely prepares test solutions, compounds and reagents for use by laboratory personnel in conducting tests in accordance with requirements set by applicable regulatory agencies.

· Effectively testifies at court proceedings as needed.

· Accurately maintains testing records in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.

· Establishes inventory levels to maintain a supply of materials in order to ensure no disruption in testing and/or services occurs.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. Will consider an Associate’s degree in medical laboratory science with at least three (3) years’ experience in a laboratory setting.

· Supervisory experience preferred.

· Demonstrates an understanding of the scientific principles of laboratory testing, technical procedures, and problem solving aspects of same.

· Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Must have the ability to effectively work with Agency employees and outside contacts.
