Job description
This position could be full or part time. Hours are flexible. Will be driving resident's to appointments or on outings with our activity director. This position will include Windsor Place in Sigourney and Keota HealthCare Center in Keota.
Position Summary: Ideal candidates will have a personality that highlights their dedication to superior customer service. The candidate will be responsible for the safety and security of our residents on trips to appointments or on activity outings.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Continuing Education Opportunities
- Transport residents to and from medical appointments and other locations, as needed.
- Ensure the safety of the residents as they enter and exit the bus.
- Ensure that the residents get into the office/building of their appointment in a safe and timely manner.
- Assist the residents with walking aids when entering and exiting the bus/van.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
- Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems/deficiencies of the bus/van.
- Report any concerns of the resident’s well-being to the Executive Director.
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain bus/van in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Documented safe driving record
- Ability to treat all residents with respect and integrity
- Capable of reading, speaking, and understanding the English language
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 80 pounds
