Job Summary

Alpha Ready Mix is searching for dedicated and motivated Ready Mix Driver to join our Camas/Washougal team!

The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for safely transporting concrete from the plant in Washougal area to job sites around Clark County/Portland area. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills.

Compensation

$25.00-$35 per hour/DOE. The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
  • Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
  • Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
  • Must be willing to work according to customer demands
  • Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
  • Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
  • Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
  • Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management

Education

High School Diploma/GED/Foreign Equivalent.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Must pass drug test/background check.
  • Attendance and punctuality a must.
  • Clean/Safe driving record.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
  • Ability to work in hot and cold weather.
  • Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations.

Preferred:

  • Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require DOT/FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Signing bonus

  • Washougal, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • CDL (Required)
