LockNet is seeking a high-energy and mechanically inclined Door Fabricator in our dynamic Door Production Department. As a Door Fabricator, you would impact the company by manually producing custom doors and frames to fill customer orders.

You would make valuable contributions as a Door Fabricator by:

• Measuring, cutting, drilling, and crafting doors and frames as specified by the customer (some MIG welding experience a plus).
• Painting metal doors and frames to meet customer specifications as needed.
• Packing finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Placing finished goods in designated areas manually or with the assistance of a forklift, as necessary.
• Basic input of info into computer.
• Administering and adhering to safety policies, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Working both independently and within a team to complete daily tasks.
• Prioritizing and handling time effectively to complete each assigned job.
• Exhibiting technical knowledge of door production and assembly.
• Conducting operations in a manner that promotes safety and aligns with OSHA and MSDS standards.

The Optimal Applicant Will Have:

• Proficiency with power tools necessary to fabricate hollow-metal and wood doors
• Understanding of door and hardware terminology and operation
• Excellent safety record
• Forklift experience preferred but not required
• Ability to frequently lift and maneuver doors (up to around 50-75 pounds)

Equipment/Machines Used:

• Standard office equipment including standard Windows-based computers, printers, copy machines, fax machines, and telephones.
• Tools and equipment such as: including but not limited to: electric or air grinder or sander, router jig saw, chop saw, circle saw, radial-arm saw, air drill, air chisel, and drill press
• Forklift
• HVLP paint gun and face respirator

Door Fabricator Skills/Requirements

If you are a skilled laborer who enjoys working with your hands, can read and use measuring and other basic tools, and are strong at effectively organizing and executing responsibilities in an efficient manner, then this may be an excellent position for you.

Here at LockNet, Door Fabricators frequently lift between 50lbs-75lbs throughout the day. The finished products can be very heavy and we need to maneuver them around for quality inspection before shipment. We also have segments of time where we stand in one place to craft products, detail and review the orders for accuracy, and/or have work-related conversations in person and on the phone. Dexterity of hands and fingers are needed to operate basic hand and/or power tools, standard computer keyboard, office equipment, telephones, forklifts and for handling materials.

The position is in a warehouse setting with varying climate, dependent upon the seasons. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally moderate to high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, and cold.
