Outstanding opportunity to be a Dog Bather in a brand new salon in a new Pet Supplies Plus franchise at the brand new crown jewel Creekside Commons Center in Parrish. Come join Lowes, Home Goods, Aldi, Crunch Fitness and many other premier establishments including multiple restaurants.

Dog Bathers are responsible for working closely with the groomer (and independently, as required) to bathe all dogs in a safe, efficient and caring manner.

Responsibilities:

• Bathing dogs of all breeds and sizes.
• Brushing, fluffing, deshedding and professionally drying dogs in a safe and timely manner.
• Trimming and/or grinding nails, cleaning ears, removing eye crust, and expressing anal glands if needed.
• Following instructions from the Groomer and/or Manager.
• Identifying and notifying Groomer and/or Manager of any abnormalities noticed on dog (e.g. cysts, scabs, fleas, ticks, sores, anal gland issues, etc.)
• Cleaning grooming area after use and ensuring a clean and safe working environment for the dogs and the grooming staff.
• Reporting any low supplies or equipment in non-working order to Groomer or Manager.
• Providing excellent neighborly service.

Qualifications:

• Previous Dog Bathing Experience Required
• Comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be physically fit to lift dogs 50+ lbs, kneel, stand for long periods of time and perform requirements of the position.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
