Position Summary:
The Document Coordinator executes the quality record and retention system while providing support to various functional departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Program Quality Engineers to ensure fast, efficient, and accurate retrieval of vital quality records needed for customer delivery’s, audits, review, and manufacturing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable to maintain the quality record system by scanning and archiving documents through Enterprise Content Management System (OnBase).
- Scanning and filing of incoming Certificates of Conformance, completed Route Cards (Travelers), test data and other quality records as customer contracts require.
- Perform data entry and data entry updates for quality records stored in Enterprise Content Management System and ERP System.
- Daily gathering of documents requiring archive/scanning.
- Support locating and finding required customer documentation throughout the process for Program Quality Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Program Managers.
- Assist in compiling and review of data packages with direction from Program Quality Engineers.
- Support internal and external audits by locating and providing objective quality evidence of compliance.
- Filling and archiving of hard copy records with offsite storage provider.
- Support recall and final destruction of expired documents past record retention date.
Accountable to maintain the quality management system documents released/obsolete and native files while maintaining compliance with internal procedures.
- Enter new revision documents into Enterprise Content Management System (OnBase) and support document approval process.
- Support locating, finding, reviewing, and updating documents for syntax formatting and general content updates.
- Provide next applicable document number from QMS and log requester, requested date and title.
- Review and update internal document reference numbers through appropriate approval process.
Continuously improve procedures, processes, and methods to ensure quality with zero defects and/or escapes, which are measured by completion of predetermined improvement initiatives.
- Identify areas for improvement in process and product relating to quality and contract requirements and elevate them to Management Team.
- Assist continuous improvement teams to help drive company-wide improvements.
- Develop, monitor, and update data required for internal BNI and customer communications.
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required:
Education and Training
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Two years exposure to document management
Two years experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS)
Other:
Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Desired Job Qualification:
Experience in a complex manufacturing environment - aerospace environment preferable.

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for bonus.
