Dispensary Shift Lead

Full Time

Reports to: General Manager of Retail

Position Summary:
The LSS supports the Store Supervisor in the daily business operations of our retail store. General tasks include supervising employees, positively delivering internal & external customer service within the environment. Carrying out the directives given by the Store Supervisor, and contributing to a positive work environment for employees

Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain a positive work environment
• Effectively communicate all store needs to Store Manager (GM)
• Meet and exceed store sales goals and standards of performance
• Assist in training and developing newly hired Retail Specialists and Department Mangers
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues effectively
• Assist in receiving, maintaining and monitoring inventory
• Have a solid understanding of all compliance regulations provide from the- Cannabis Control Commission
• Maintain and enforce controls and procedures to ensure store remains compliant
• Prepare pre shift meetings meal and break schedules, housekeeping assignments
• Open and close the store as needed and scheduled
• Support Marketing and promotions
• Ensure visual excellence through product placement, closing standards and implementation of seasonal set-ups are adhered to
• Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the business
• Has initiative to take on tasks, set own priorities and deadlines to problem solve in the moment

Required Skills:

• Prior management experience in a retail environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 6-12 months retail sales experience
• Must be 21 years or older with the ability to pass a criminal background check
• Desire to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Desired Skills:

• A great team player
• Willing to learn ambiguity
• Experience working in a retail environment with inventory including some sort if regulated product (e.g., alcohol, pharmaceuticals, perishables)
• Willing to understand the Cannabis rules and regulations in accordance with the compliance state rules set forth by the Cannabis Control Commission
