We are looking for reliable dispatcher to lead a group of drivers and act as a communication point between our drivers, sales staff, and customers. In this position you will receive the customer orders, log them into the computer, and route them in an efficient manner in order to meet customer deadlines. This person must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm in stressful situations. You must be able to make critical decisions with little to no supervision.

Skills needed

* 1 year of previous dispatching experience would be helpful

* Strong knowledge of Kansas City (both sides of the state line) and the surrounding area is not necessary but would be beneficial

* Be a Leader

* Keep route board updated - scheduling routes in an efficient/timely manner

* Be able to communicate well with drivers, sales team, and customers.

* Treat everyone with respect

* Stay organized and be able to work/adapt in a fast paced environment

* Prioritize stops within the route to ensure we meet customer deadlines

* Have strong attention to detail

* Be proactive

* Answer any incoming calls for receiving

* Ability to navigate Google Sheets

* MUST be a TEAM player - willing to learn all jobs within department and help out where needed

* Ability to work safely within tight time constraints in a fast pace environment

* Successful candidates will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 /hour depending on job knowledge
