Transportation Dispatcher

Full Job Description:

Dynamic Environmental Services, LLC is a transportation and hauling company that has been in business for over 20 years. We transport various products via roll off containers, tanker, and flatbed equipment throughout the gulf coast.

We’re currently interviewing for a Transportation Dispatcher at our Charlotte, TX. facility. Candidates need to have good organizational skills and ability to retain information for future scheduled work. Needs to be able to operate in a fast-paced environment that is subject to change on a regular basis. Strong communication and follow up skills are necessary for communicating with customers, drivers and operations on a daily basis.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

· Daily scheduling of drivers and dispatch log.

· Maintain awareness of available hours for drivers and dispatch accordingly.

· Monitor drivers to ensure timely departure.

· Notify sales representative of untimely departures.

· Verify driver paperwork is turned in timely and is complete.

· Assist in tracking equipment and containers.

· Price driver tickets and ensure they are turned in timely.

· Coordinate with mechanical group to ensure all equipment is repaired and in safe working order.

· Enforce company rules and safety policies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

· Basic understanding of DOT rules and regulations.

· Familiarity with industrial waste hauling.

· Understanding of good safety practices.

· Previous dispatch or driver experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to communicate and work well with others.

· Good organizational and supervisory skills.

· Ability to schedule work-load and routes to maximize drivers and equipment utilization.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
