The Director, Program Management provides leadership and customer management direction to all Project Managers; oversees a group of project managers who assume responsibility for the life of the project with regards to quality, budget, schedule and customer satisfaction, from receipt of purchase order through final installation and acceptance at the customer’s site. Perform Administrative duties for Project Managers. This is NOT a remote opportunity.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Customer satisfaction - Zero lost opportunities due to customer dis-satisfaction, divisional reputation, or past performance.
  • Employee development – Facilitate individual development plans for each direct report and the reports of the Assembly Group leadership with a minimum of twelve (12) documented interactions with report per fiscal year.
  • Value driver performance - Achieve approved fiscal plan (bookings, revenue, EBIT, cash, on time delivery, first pass yield, turnover, internal fill).
  • ATS Business Model (ABM) Performance – Achieve approved goal deployment fiscal plan.
  • Executive leadership team – Accountable to primary team in all commitments via extreme ownership.
  • Assist with Apprenticeship program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A post-secondary college diploma, engineering degree or equivalent, specializing in electrical or mechanical engineering. Completion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Must have successfully managed $7.5 million worth of work in a minimum of four (4) concurrent projects, or, simultaneously managed a minimum of ten (10) projects at a time while adequately managing margin, schedule and scope creep.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience leading multi-disciplined project teams, preferably in an automation or systems integration environment.
  • Must have a practical working knowledge of robots, programmable logic controller (PLC), instrumentation or other machine controls packages, sensors and pneumatics.
  • Preference will be given to those who possess an excellent manufacturing or process engineering background, a superior mechanical aptitude and proven trouble-shooting skills.
  • An ability to work effectively with customers according to deadlines and under pressure-filled conditions is essential.
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as SolidWorks, product lifecycle management (PLM) software, EPlan, Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes and AutoCAD.
  • Basic Knowledge of fabrication and assembly machinery including inspection tools.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee may be required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Visual acuity – Normal requirements for reading written instructions and computer screens.
  • Hearing ability – Normal requirements for understanding verbal instructions.
  • Working conditions – The employee is subject to a normal office environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and/or physical hazards when visiting manufacturing floor.
  • Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods of time.
