Position Summary

Responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the Accounts Payable shared services team along with delivering end to end Procure to Pay continuous improvement projects, driving key accounts payable processes by working across various internal and external teams.

This role requires a seasoned accounts payable professional who has a thorough understanding of finance and process improvement mindset.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluates department operation, revises procedures, or devises new procedures to improve efficiency of work-flow.
  • Responsible for reviewing departmental results and directing teams towards developing corrective action plans as necessary. Identifies improvements for systems, workflow and procedures. Drives and implements changes with cross functional teams.
  • Develops and enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Face of the AP team for both external and internal “customers/business partners”
  • Monitor the invoice processing activities and proactively manage any issues.
  • Manages monthly closing of AP and posting of month-end information to ensure accuracy of financials.
  • Interacts with other departments to solve internal process inconsistencies.
  • Builds productive customer relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation.
  • Works closely with External Auditors on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties and/or responsibilities as requested.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to evaluate department operations, revise procedures or devise new procedures to improve efficiency of work flow

Experience directing workload of co-workers in an accounts payable department
Ability to enforce company policies and procedures
Ability to interact with other departments to solve internal process inconsistencies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
