POSITION: Director of TIAA Bank Field
DEPARTMENT:

FLSA STATUS: Full time/Salaried/Exempt
Summary
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Director of TIAA Bank Field Stadium Manager reporting to the General Manager of all facilities and overseeing all aspects of the management of TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars, annual Florida-Georgia Classic and the TaxSlayer Bowl and many other signature events. This position is responsible for delivering and maintaining a superior level of customer service, safety and security standards and building effective relationships with all clients and tenants.
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily administration, operation, housekeeping and maintenance of the facilities and parking lots.
  • Establish guidelines, policies and procedures for the facilities and departments.
  • Prepare event proformas to establish a solid financial base for bidding and winning major events for the facilities.
  • Negotiates favorable booking agreements for events at the facilities and parking lots.
  • Positively manage client/tenant relations with the TIAA Bank Field and Sports Complex tenants including the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Gator Bowl Association, FELD and other key clients and/or promoters.
  • Management responsibility over all stadium events such Feld’s Monster Jam, Florida/Georgia game, TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, US Soccer and other major events in addition to the Jacksonville Jaguars games.
  • Implement a guest services program customized for tenant standards.
  • Meet and exceed contractual benchmarks through established TEAM member training, a guest and client survey/feedback program and facility shopper reports.
  • Ensure proper venue maintenance and performance ensuring the highest-level quality surface commensurate with NFL standards.
  • Oversee operations of the Parking Department and the service the parking department provides to clients and customers.
  • Oversee and coordinates the scheduling of events taking place in the facilities within the sports complex parking lots.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department for sales of sponsorship, event sponsorship sales in collaboration with the marketing/sales department as may be necessary from time to time.
  • Prepares statistics, reports and budget presentations for executive leadership and the City of Jacksonville.
  • Develop and implement annual capital budget.
  • Develop and manage annual operating budget and provide ongoing forecasts to include revenue and expenses.
  • Represent ASM in meetings, trade shows, conference calls for events, sponsorships, community outreach and appropriate related industry groups.
  • Participate and/or support ASM Acts in community activities and efforts.
  • Help establish ASM Signature events.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Maintains excellent working relationship with all venue management and finance.
  • Attend and lead staff meetings as may be required
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Represent General Manager as may be necessary
Qualifications

  • Executive or General Management experience with an NFL or equivalent stadium is preferred.
  • Previous oversight of event operations and security best practices is required.
  • Established relationships with Agents, Managers and Promoters are preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to book live entertainment.
  • Strong background in marketing-promotion of live events.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Must have strong leadership, communication and organizational skills necessary for planning and directing coverage at events
  • Must have superior customer service skills, strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
  • Must have good computer skills
  • Must have the ability to prepare, analyze and operate within Department Budget
  • Must have high aptitude for figures and advanced writing skills
  • Must have professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
  • Must have knowledge in event operations, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services
  • Must work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results
  • Must maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment
Education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four-year degree or professional equivalent in Sports and Facility Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 10 years of progressive facility and event management is preferred
  • 3-5 years sales experience required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience required
  • 3 years of event operations required
  • Experience in Windows, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Office software required. Ticketing software and event software preferred.
