Director of Talent and Culture

Position Overview

The Director of Talent & Culture plays a key role in aspects of talent acquisition, onboarding, employee experience, and organizational culture. The ideal candidate will be passionate about bringing great talent to Country Manor. The incumbent of this role must be a forward-thinker, with the ability to take ideas and put them into action. They will have a sincere enthusiasm about creating a positive workplace culture and improving the employee experience. Additionally, they should be fluent in building systems and processes that meet the needs of various areas, and comfortable in a fast paced environment.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Public Relations, this position is an exciting opportunity to support an ever-growing, always-evolving, talented team of diverse employees with many different specialties, within a locally and nationally recognized organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Recruitment efforts
  • Build a candidate pool
  • Talent & Culture Support
  • Develop and oversee tools to gather feedback from staff and implement policy/system changes that provide continuous improvement to the employee experience
  • Oversee distribution and collection of staff evaluations including new hires, current staff, and exit interviews. Prepare consistent reports based on the collective data that is gathered, and suggest changes to current processes that will improve the overall employee experience
  • Work with other team members to develop and oversee current and new staff appreciation/retention tactics- including Staff Appreciation Events, changes to benefits, access to amenities, etc.
  • Manage and maintain the internal Applicant Tracking System (Breezy HR)
  • Manage and maintain career specific corporate social and digital media accounts/platforms
  • Compose enticing job descriptions
  • Utilize basic marketing skills to develop ideas to reach/recruit new audiences and talent
  • Work closely with internal management team to determine department needs
  • Lead various committees in meetings and oversee implementation efforts, tracking results
  • Must be able to think on their feet, problem-solve, and anticipate exceptionally well
  • Review performance and adjust strategy frequently
  • Build and oversee Recruitment and Retention budget
  • Provide reports to gauge success of efforts, ensuring recruitment and retention goals are being met
  • Develop and oversee strategic initiatives that will further ensure and support the success in areas such as; recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and retention
  • Must be responsible, committed, professional and organized
  • Must be able to remain calm and respectful under pressure
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and acting as a representative of the company
  • Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Provide progress reports to supervisor

Project Management

  • Project Management of recruitment efforts in partnership with key internal and external partners
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for engaging with local organizations, businesses, and schools to expand recruitment opportunities
  • Creatively brainstorm and oversee implementation of new solutions in executing recruitment activities and meeting company benchmarks

Team Leadership, mentorship and development

  • Oversee the planning and development of recruitment plans, including identifying performance goals and building relationships with key partners, both internally and externally
  • Assist in mentoring and training team members across roles and levels regarding onboarding, workplace culture, and employee experience
  • Oversee the planning and management of strategic efforts to improve employee experience continuously

Communications

  • Work with Marketing/PR to develop strategic marketing and campaigns that build awareness and connects interested individuals to live job postings
  • Work with Marketing/PR to develop influential and inspiring ways to communicate with employees regarding changes to employee experience
  • Work with Marketing/PR to develop thoughtful ways to communicate with employees, gathering productive feedback and utilizing in decision-making processes

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as human resources, business administration, psychology, or communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project, including assigned staff, from start to finish
  • Experience in any of the following areas: recruitment, retention, HR, onboarding, hiring, workplace culture, employee engagement
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and apply creative solutions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team, as well as the ability to take initiative and manage projects independently
  • Uncompromising commitment to the patients, residents, and students we serve

Preferred

  • Experience with ATS
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting

This is a Full-time, M-F day position with occasional evening and weekend hours for trainings and special events. Salary and benefits will be competitive and vary with experience.
