Director of Social Work

As a Director of Social Work for TaraVista in Devens, Massachusetts, you’ll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. You’ll be responsible for management of the Social Work and Group Therapy Departments, as well as advocate for the interests and safety of the patients and department members while acting in accordance with compliance regulations. In exchange, we will care for you as much as you care for our patients.

How You Care for Our Patients

As a Director of Social Work, you are required to provide supervision, as needed and appropriate, to any department member requiring guidance, as well as any department member eligible for licensure, as required by that specific licensure board. Monthly group supervision of each department will be provided by the Director regardless of member licensure status. The Director is to attend any internal or external meetings as required by the senior leadership team or department members requiring additional support. The Director will also manage timecards, PTO and coverage as needed. They should demonstrate an ability to complete tasks as required of unit social workers.

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Master’s degree in Social Work/LICSW required.
• Current MA licensure.
• At least 2 years’ experience in inpatient setting; previous management experience preferred.
• Prior experience working within an inpatient behavioral health setting, short-term treatment and/or acute care preferred.
• Effectively manage the clinical team and provide regular supervision, including contract review and evaluation of performance.
• Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record required; experience with Electronic Health Record, including Medsphere/Vista preferred.

TaraVista Behavioral Health Center is a regional inpatient treatment center serving Middlesex County, Worcester County and Southern New Hampshire.
