Job Summary

The Director, of Business Development, Remarketed Sales will provide leadership and strategic direction of the client. This role is accountable for revenue generation and has profit and loss responsibility for the business unit. Areas of focus must include increasing business unit revenue through new customer acquisition or existing customer growth, developing strategic direction within the remarketed segments, creating business value propositions and working across company functions to support our customers. The position will work closely with corporate leaders and customers. This position will work with the marketing and sales operations teams to provide solutions to our customers.

Job Duties

  • Actively seek means of growing revenues to improve the profitability of the business unit and to grow the business in size and scope
  • Identify areas where the business can increase its footprint by identifying potential partnerships, opportunities to enhance distribution and open up new markets, and methods to enhance efficiency within the organization’s sales and marketing departments
  • Develop a sales strategy to support customer growth and acquisition
  • Build and maintain positive and profitable customer relationships
  • Present market research and customer profiles to marketing directors and team members, recommending improved strategies to expand market reach.
  • Coordinate activities between sales and marketing teams to introduce new campaigns and make decisions that drive sales growth
  • Directly oversees the Business Development sales leaders and indirectly provides guidance to the supporting sales operations team
  • In conjunction with the sales operations team lead, provide direction on sales recruiting, hiring, performance management, goal setting and coaching
  • Motivate, mentor, and counsel sales personnel throughout the business unit to promote personal and professional growth
  • Develop and create customer proposals and presentations
  • Implement and utilize analytical and data-driven approaches to measure, managing, and improving the operations of the business unit
  • Gather and disseminate information to regional and corporate leadership as it relates to business performance, e.g., staffing, budget, revenue dynamics, and operational risks

Skills Required

  • Demonstrated leadership, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Adept in consultative selling techniques and developing customer solutions
  • Ability to influence and develop team members
  • Evidence of strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications and use of data analytics
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that facilitates the success of business operations to meet company demands and expectations
  • Ability to evaluate alternatives to make the best overall decisions based on KPI metrics, service requirements, economical factors, customer relations, and driver needs
  • Ability to assist in the creation and adherence to a financial budget
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with key customers as needed

Qualifications

  • College Degree with at least seven (7) years of management experience in sales
  • Prior experience in the logistics industry
  • Preferred experience in the remarketed automotive industry, such as selling into auto dealerships, rental car agencies, automobile auctions, and auto lenders is a plus
  • Strong background in CRM management and strategy, preferably with Salesforce
  • Experiences in managing complex sales environments that include inside sales, business development, remote/outside sales team members
  • Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and routing or dispatching systems.
  • Demonstrated results in building collaborative and effective sales and marketing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $125,000.00 per year
