Job Title: Director of Maximize the Gift (Organ Procurement)
Exemption Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
Responsible for supervision and development of Maximize the Gift managers and staff, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Essential Functions and Performance Responsibilities:
Supervise the selection, training, development, and performance of Maximize the Gift staff to retain a motivated professional workforce for IDN.- Establish and communicate job responsibilities, manage performance expectations and outcomes to maintain optimal operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with AATB, FDA, CMS, UNOS/OPTN, OSHA, IDPH, federal and state employment and other regulations, and IDN policies through annual reviews, department audits, and staying current on industry standards and regulations.
- Assist with managing the operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department.
- Participate in organizational strategic planning and assist with development of department action plans to meet organizational goals.
- Accomplish department objectives through monitoring and analyzing data to maximize organ and tissue donation and identify trends and areas for improvement in Maximize the Gift.
Position Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Five years of experience in healthcare.- Five years prior direct supervision of professional team members required.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, coordinate internal and external resources, and achieve measurable results against goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and development skills.
Ability to manage departmental budgets using high attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, and delegate responsibilities to team members.
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Must receive required vaccines based on outlined schedules to protect our employees, healthcare personnel, donors, recipients, and families we may come into contact. (e.g., Influenza obtained annually by December 1st and COVID vaccine upon required timeline.)
