Who We Are. OGC Solutions® is a dynamic mid-sized law firm that specializes in providing its Outside General Counsel Solutions™ to mid-cap companies. We’re looking for a Director of Operations to work directly with the firm’s owners to manage everything, except actual legal work, as well as facilitate the firm’s continued growth by overseeing the firm’s lawyers.

Key Responsibilities. This is a key leadership role with expansion prospects. The position will reside in our main office in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Our Director of Operations will be someone who focuses on data and metrics and is driven by KPIs that he or she will help set according to a strategic plan that he/she will help develop. The Director will have finance knowledge and will set budgets and manage the firm’s finances with the help of a fantastic administrative staff and manage the business in our Salesforce system. The Director will have oversight responsibility over all personnel, including our lawyers, of work execution and individual performance according to KPIs and personal targets, and be invested in the success of the firm to drive smart growth across the firm. The position also requires experience with effective project management in a data-driven environment.

The position encompasses a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of administration, personnel, finances, and business systems. We need someone with the experience and maturity to work closely with the owners and key staff on strategy, policy, problem-solving, and decision-making. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operations of the firm, and for directing the implementation of the firm’s policies.

We continue to build a firm where systems run the business, and people run the systems. This position is responsible for improving both our people and our systems and managing the execution of legal work to ensure client satisfaction.

Growth and operations are key focuses, but client satisfaction is always the most important objective.

Drive change and be comfortable in managing experienced professionals to further their careers and the firm’s targets. Being an empathetic facilitator with conflict management skills to get things done is as important as holding each team member accountable to their KPIs created by the Director. This means solving issues rather than just talking about them.

The Director will need to get up to speed quickly including with our Salesforce system, which is easily customizable to provide the Director and our team with required data and tracking capabilities.

The owners are also developing plans for business interests complementary to OGC Solutions®’ business. The Director will be involved in these initiatives and eligible for associated growth and income potential.

Compensation. $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus potential and complete benefits package including Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance, 401k plan, and fully-paid long-term disability coverage.
