Description and Key Responsibilities:

The Director, Commercial Operations & Strategic Enablement for Joint Reconstruction, Mitek, and Velys leads Sales Support activities for the Field Selling Organization. Key responsibilities of this role include the leadership of a diverse and hard-working organization, identification and representation of the needs of sales consultants to the broader organization, partner to the Sales Management Team and our Independent Sales Organizations (ISO’s), the design and execution of field asset optimization, sales support analytics, organizational changes, and the implementation of pivotal initiatives that drive value to the top and bottom lines.

In order to best represent the needs of the FSO, this role will have to invest in collecting and validating their Voice of Customer. This role requires learning the key activities that our Sales Consultants execute every day to ensure our Surgeons and Patients have everything they need for successful surgeries. Influence the performance of the business with the deployment of key insights from custom reporting and analytics to the Field in effective and efficient applications. Gaining a strong understanding of the Joint Recon and Mitek portfolios is must.

Field Asset Optimization includes design and execution of both inventory, instrumentations, robotics, disposables, etc…. activities would include annual planning, the creation of new capabilities, and leading strategic changes. Execution would entail partnering with Marketing, Supply Chain, and the FSO, inclusive of our ISO’s to optimize our investments for maximum service levels, improvement of financial value, minimization of Excess and Obsolesce (E&O), and overcoming supply disruptions.

In addition, this role requires the understanding of how New Product Introductions influence the current state of operations and then inspire changes to fully support. This is true now and will continue to grow in the areas of digital and robotics for these businesses. This role is also responsible for understanding the impact and organizational change requirements associated with the implementation of large-scale company business and information technology improvements.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $137,000 to $235,750. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • A Master’s or advanced degree is preferred

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Expertise in building, leading and managing a team
  • Required skills include financial acumen, tight-knit collaboration, problem solving skills, strategy development, and strong communication skills
  • Strong understanding that diversity, equity, and inclusion brings extraordinary value to an organization
  • Innovation, challenging of the status-quo, Customer focus, and results oriented capabilities

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Healthcare and Orthopedics experience

  • This position may require up to 20% domestic travel
