The role you’ll contribute:

Under the purview of the COO, the Operations Director has the oversight and responsibility for planning, organizing, leading and controlling the departments that report to them. The position requires the leader to work with various managers, within their span of control, to accomplish the services required from the various teams and departments. This position has no less than two nor more than three business lines for which they are responsible.

• Provides a leadership role in strategic planning for the services provided by the various departments to enhance the patients, visitor and employee experience; ensure access to key services; and to align all services to organizational goals.
• Provides support and development plans for the managers and ensures the entire team has clarity of purpose and mission.
• Creates a work environment to ensure positive team engagement and high performance in accordance to the mission, vision, values and service standards.
• Leads the team through inspiration by creating a shared vision, aligned performance improvement activities and facilitating a culture of transparency, engagement, team culture and performance.
• Organizes the processes by which services are provided within the various departments and how they connect to other departments to accomplish the goals of the organization.
• Controls departmental performance by working with her direct reports and removing obstacles, barriers and creative problem solving.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or health-related discipline
• Director-level leadership for a minimum of 3-5 years or successful completion of AdventHealth Management Residency Program and one year of post-residency leadership experience
