We are seeking a Director of Nursing at our exceptional nursing home where you will be an essential member of our caring and dedicated staff.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license by the State of Vermont
  • Previous Long-Term Care and Management experience
  • Strong communication skills - with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
  • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
  • must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee therapeutic care given in a holistic systematic way
  • Support clinical management of Eldercare delivery
  • Produce quality care with optimal individual resident outcomes
  • Oversee the facility, ensuring all employees have regular communication to improve the care provided to the residents of the facility.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff and medical team
  • Work in partnership with your team to ensure quality, person-centered care
